For drivers that want to really get the miles but also get home for the weekend, Armstrong is the perfect place to enjoy both. We have drivers that consistently achieve 3,000 miles or more on a weekly basis and they still get home every weekend. In fact, they often get home a night or two during the week as well. And if you don't care about being home every week, we can do that too...and you'll definitely get maximum miles and income.
Every driver in our regional fleet has been home every weekend for years. Drivers that sacrifice a little home time for extra miles will still get home every weekend. The most common scenario for these drivers is to get home Friday evening and start work again on Sunday afternoon. These drivers enjoy two nights at home for the weekend (usually between 44 to 50 total hours at home).
Our network of repeat, dry-van customer freight is 85% drop and hook on both ends. We run primarily in the states of Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Illinois and Indiana. Most trips are between 350 and 550 miles. The majority of our deliveries are simple, easy, 24-hour drop deliveries. You'll visit the same group of customer locations most of the time, but we will throw in something different from time to time as well. And by the way, our freight is 100% no-touch and always will be.
