All of our current regional runs are centered around Memphis, TN and flow between these states:  Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Illinois,  Indiana and a little Ohio.  We do not service the East Coast or the West Coast.

Is there a sign-on bonus?

Orientation usually lasts about a day and a half.  Orientation pay is $250.  We'll get you out on your first run in the afternoon of the second day of orientation or the next day, whichever you prefer.

Is there a sign-on bonus?

Yes.  The sign-on bonus is $1,000.  The first $500 is paid after 25,000 safe miles and the second $500 after 50,000 safe miles.  The $1,000 sign-on bonus is equivalent to an extra 2 cents per mile on the first 50,000 miles.  Orientation pays $250 as well.

All Armstrong employees are paid weekly. Drivers are paid by direct deposit on Friday for all loads completed between the prior Sunday morning and midnight Saturday night.

 Yes.  Every driver is assigned to a specific tractor. We offer late model Freightliner and International tractors with a mix of manual and automatic transmissions. We'll do everything we can to put you in a truck that matches your preferences.

Rand McNally TND765.  These units provide accurate directions, help drivers locate truck stops and allow for direct, two-way communication with the office.

The majority of our fleet is set at 65 mph on the pedal and 68 mph on cruise.

Armstrong has forward-facing dash cameras only for the protection of the driver and the company.  We have no plans to implement driver-facing cameras.

Armstrong offers a mix of Freightliner and International sleeper tractors.  Most tractors are automatics but we do have 10-speeds in our fleet as well.  The large majority of our fleet is Freightliner units.

  While we specialize in getting our regional drivers home every weekend, we also need the ability to provide capacity to our customers 7 days per week, including weekends. With that goal in mind, we are looking to bring on drivers with the flexibility to run on weekends and stay out for about 12 days…or longer if the driver prefers.

 All drivers will run in our normal regional network, so should the need arise for the driver to be home for an emergency, family event or doctor visit, just let us know and, in most cases, we'll have you home the very next day.

$100 ROAD RESTART

  Staying out for two weeks or longer is optional.  Drivers are welcome to be home every weekend for a while then choose to stay out for 2 weeks or longer from time or time.  Drivers are welcome to stay out much longer than 2 weeks as well.  It's the   driver's choice.

In addition to the normal pay structure, drivers that take a 34-hour restart on the road earn an extra $100 for each 34-hour break taken away from home.


The $100 pay also applies in the rare situation that a driver who planned to be home for the weekend was unable to make it home in time.

Drivers staying out for two weeks are consistently achieving 3,000 to 3,500 miles per week and earning 53 to 55 cents per mile including all applicable bonus pay.
