Orientation usually lasts about a day and a half. Orientation is paid at the $17.50 hourly rate and usually lasts between 8 and 12 total hours over the two day period. We'll get you out on your first run in the afternoon of the second day of orientation.
All of our current regional runs are centered around Memphis, TN and flow between these states: Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Illinois and Indiana. We do not service the East Coast or the West Coast.
Yes. The sign-on bonus is $3,000. The first $1,000 is paid after 10,000 safe miles and the second $1,000 after 40,000 safe miles. The final $1,000 is paid on the driver's one-year anniversary date.
All Armstrong employees are paid weekly. Drivers are paid by direct deposit on Friday for all loads completed between the prior Sunday morning and midnight Saturday night.
Yes. Every driver is assigned to a specific tractor. We offer Freightliner and International tractors with a mix of manual and automatic transmissions. We'll do everything we can to put you in a truck that matches your preferences.

The majority of our fleet is set at 65 mph on the pedal and 68 mph on cruise.
